Anne Hathaway Keeps Stealing Roles From Jessica Biel

In the December issue of Elle, Jessica Biel complains about Hollywood’s inability to recognize her talents and give her the roles she deserves. Over the course of the article, she complains about not one but two roles she wanted that went instead to Anne Hathaway: Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises and Fantine in Les Miserables. As you know, this is clear evidence that Biel hates Hathaway’s guts and wants to have her murdered. So what if she doesn’t mention her directly?

Via Page Six:

Biel recounts that she desperately wanted to be Catwoman in Christopher Nolan’s Batman tale, “The Dark Knight Rises.” The actress thought she’d have a leg up since she dressed as the feline villainess in a scene in “I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry” in 2007. But the role went to Academy Award nominee Hathaway. “I was gutted. I mean, to work with Christopher Nolan in that kind of a role…” Biel said trailing off.

Biel says, “I felt terrified when I auditioned for ‘Les Miserables,’ the movie that Tom Hooper is doing. I was terrified to sing in front of him. I auditioned for Fantine and I sang ‘I Dreamed a Dream.’ I didn’t get it. And I would have loved it.”

First of all, having been in I Now Pronounce You Chuck And Larry will not help you get a part in anything cool, as well it shouldn’t. Second, I think she just told us the reason she didn’t get Les Mis; she got nervous and fucked up the audition. But what lie does she tell herself about why she doesn’t get parts that enables her to sleep at night?

The Elle interviewer didn’t ask, but a few years ago, Biel told Allure that she wasn’t getting good roles because she’s too pretty (no, really). “It really is a problem, I have to be blunt,” she said. Funny how that isn’t a problem for Scarlett Johansson, Natalie Portman, Charlize Theron, Angelina Jolie, or, I don’t know, any successful actress ever. Taken together, this information can only mean one thing: Jessica Biel thinks Anne Hathaway is stealing parts from her because she is uglier than her. Presumptuous!

Anne Hathaway’s Movie Night with Mom

Getting in some mother-daughter bonding time, Anne Hathaway was spotted out at the movies in New York City last night (November 21).

Joined by her mom Kate McCauley Hathaway, the “Princess Diaries” dame looked lovely as she exited the cinema, sporting a black blazer, white blouse, black dress shorts, and black stockings.

Last week, Anne was seen going incognito at an Occupy Wall Street protest in Manhattan and activist Elana Levin told press she was there to voice her opinion about education reform.

“I did not approach her but it was clearly her. Other folks near me recognized her too but were very respectful. It was a rally of about 2,000, mostly college students, protesting against school budget cuts and in support of free college for all, and for NYU adjuncts who still don’t have a union contract. It was part of Occupy Wall Street Day of Action where lots of rallies happened around the whole city.”

Anne Hathaway joins Princess Charlene at glamorous Awards Gala

She is used to rubbing shoulders with red carpet royalty at Hollywood events but tonight Anne Hathaway was in the presence of a real life Princess.

The actress, 28, spent time with Princess Charlene of Monaco as the pair attended Princess Grace Awards Gala in New York.

While the Princess, 33, had donned a dramatic floor length lace Christian Dior gown with beading, draping and a floral pattern detail Anne kept things simple.

She stepped out in a midi-length shift dress which boasted jewelled detail but kept her tones muted sticking to a pale champagne colour.

The Batman actress teamed the dress with bright red lips, rosy cheeks and dangling diamond earrings.

Meanwhile the royal former swimmer showed off an elegant curled up hairstyle with dangling earrings and a hard clutch.

Also, I added 43 mq pictures at the evennt! Hopefully hq versions will show up soon!

What does Michelle Pfeiffer think of Anne Hathaway as Catwoman in ‘The Dark Knight Rises’?

HollywoodLife.com talked to Tim Burton’s Catwoman, Michelle Pfeiffer, last week at a Hollywood event. So what does she have to say about Christopher Nolan’s Catwoman, Anne Hathaway?

I think [Anne] is going to be amazing. She has the darkness and the comedy — she’s got it all! She’s going to be great.

The news has been slow, so I thought this would be a fun interview to share. What do you think about our new Catwoman? Has your opinion changed since the first official photo? She has ears now!

Harry Potter, Anne Hathaway and Robert Downey Jr. Rock the Scream Awards!

When it comes to the ultimate scream at Spike TV’s annual Scream awards, only one flick can come out on top.

So, with Harry Potter in the running, did other titles like Black Swan and Game of Thrones stand a chance?

Nah, not particularly.

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part II took home the top prize at the awards show Saturday evening, winning the Ultimate Scream award as well as Best ScreamPlay, Best F/X and Holy Sh!t Scene of the Year. The cult film’s stars, Daniel Radcliffe and Ralph Fiennes, also nabbed wins, garnering nods for best fantasy actor and best villain, respectively.

There was one glitch in the Harry Potter domination, however.

The franchise lost once when X-Men: First Class won in the Best Fantasy Movie Category.

But, those weren’t the only big winners of the night.

Darth Vader and Pee Wee Herman also took home top honors (seriously), nabbing the Ultimate Villain award and Visionary award, respectively.

And it’s safe to say Robert Downey Jr. was the man in Tinseltown this weekend. A day after he was honored at the American Cinematheque Tribute (and attempted to save Mel Gibson’s career), the Iron Man star hit the stage to pick up his “Hero Award” at the sixth annual light-hearted show.

Other notable moments of the evening included The Dark Knight Rises co-stars Anne Hathaway, Gary Oldman and Joseph Gordon-Levitt accepting the award for Most Anticipated Movie, and Nicolas Cage receiving the Maverick Award. Also, Kick-Ass teen star Chloe Moretz worked some vampire mojo to nab the Best Horror Actress trophy for her suck-sessful role as an underage bloodsucker in Let Me In.

The awards show, which celebrates the best in Sci-Fi, Horror and Fantasy, will air Tuesday at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV.

Why Is Anne Hathaway Singing In French With Joseph Gordon-Levitt?

How absurd! John Blake would never be caught singing, much less in French, much less with Catwoman! The world has gone mad we tell you, MAD!

Perhaps you didn’t know this, but in-between being in some of the biggest movies of the decade, Joseph Gordon-Levitt runs a little online collaborative community called HitRecord. If you haven’t check it out yet, you simply must! It’s a great way to connect with people, particularly artists with some amazing talent.

One such artist was asked to the HitRecord Fall Formal event last night to perform one of the songs she had written at the Orpheum Theater in Los Angeles. Going by the name of Metaphorist, the young lady took to the stage to croon out a soft French song she had composed – but she wasn’t alone!

Check out the video to watch Joseph AND this Dark Knight Rises costar Anne Hathaway help Metaphorist along with her song! (above)

How delightfully charming … and terribly odd! Such goofballs these two are!

Jersey Shore Auditions: Anne Hathaway and Paul Rudd

While we can’t ever imagine a cast more suited to the “Jersey Shore” than Snooki, the Situation and the rest of the gang, Conan O’Brien is doing his part should producers ever decide to recast the MTV reality hit.

In the “secret audition tapes,”, three aspiring “Jersey Shore” cast members audition. Paul Rudd, who you may remember from almost every Judd Apatow movie ever made, starts his tryout by deadpanning: “Paul Rudd. I want to marry a Guido.” And we believe him.

“Multiple growth hormones, that’s the type I’m attracted to,” says Oscar winner Anne Hathaway.

Lastly, actor of gravity Dennis Haysbert gets into full thesbian mode for this line: “The Situation wants me to jump on a grenade, but I’m not going to jump on a grenade for the Situation.”

Bravo!

Yes! Anne Hathaway Still In Talks For A Role On Glee!

Just don’t expect to see her anytime soon. Ryan Murphy is sticking by his word and not even an Oscar-nominated actress is going to deter him.

Last awards season, the big Glee buzz at the Golden Globes, besides Chris Colfer winning, was Anne Hathaway getting the green light from Ryan Murphy to be on the show. She had previously expressed a fervent desire to join the cast as Kurt’s lesbian aunt and since Gleeks seemed genuinely excited about that, Ryan agreed to write her in.

But things happen. Time gets away from you. Shows pile up and as we all know, Anne never made it to Lima, OH. Then, when Ryan promised the press that there would be no guest stars for the first half of this third season, we were sure that would be the end of Anne’s chances.

That is, until Ryan said this:

“I’m meeting with Anne in the next couple weeks. We’re not going to do guest stars at all the first half of the season, but I would love to work with her and she supposedly has the whole thing mapped out. I’m curious as to what she wants to do. I love her. I think she’s great.”

She WILL be great! Listen, give her all the slack you want for the Oscars, but when she sang, she was impressive. No doubt. Plus, this would be a great time for an obscure relative to show up. Someone who will help Kurt get on the path for the rest of his life.

Get it down, Murphy! Put that writing team to work for her!!!

Is Anne Hathaway the Best Actress to Play Kate Middleton?

With her long brown locks, svelte figure, megawatt smile, and — as we now know from her role in One Day — near perfect British accent, Anne Hathaway seems like the perfect fit to play Kate Middleton, the newly crowned Duchess of Cambridge. But would she?

“I haven’t really thought about it before, but yes, why not,” the actress tells Britian’s The Sun newspaper. “She’s great. It’s such a fairy tale.”

Celebrities Offer Advice to a Future Queen

Hathaway is, of course, no stranger to fairy tales, having played Princess Mia Thermopolis in the big-screen adaptation of Meg Cabot’s The Princess Diaries.

While currently there aren’t any plans for a big-screen adaptation of Middleton’s life, or even her romance with Prince William (at least none that we know of), Hathaway’s comment got us thinking: Which actress could best replicate Kate onscreen? We’ve got a few ideas…

Vote for one of our choices in our poll, or let us know about someone we may have missed in the comments below.
